Falling for blue

And a Partridge in a Pear Tree
I think I am falling in love with making cards in blues! LOL
OH yes, second blue card in the same week!
When I saw this lovely inspiration photo ------->
on Cath Edvalson's blog: Moxie Fab World ;
I know I want to make a card with my first (ever) Christmas stamp.  And if you like the inspiration photo too, you could check the details here.
My card.

I sprinkled Perfect Pearl powder over the image immediately after I stamped it, so it has a pretty, subtle shimmer, but my camera did not pick it up! :(
Instead of gluing the beads, I strung them together with a silver elastic cord and secured it to the back of the panel.  To add a little more glittery goodness, I dotted Crystal Stickle at the edge of the larger blue panel.  The square card measures 5 x 5 inches.

Supplies:
Stamp: A Stamp in The Hand (Pear Tree with Bird)
Paper: Bazzill (blue card stock), white card base
Ink: Ranger Distress (Broken China)
Others: Crytal Stickles, Perfect Pearl powder, blue beads, silver elastic cord

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Friday!

Christmas Tree (PPC#45)

Hi,

Have you put up a Christmas tree for the holiday season?  I haven't got one yet, but made a card for a challenge that use a tree as focus. Check out the contest details at Scrapbooker's Paradise's Blog

I used my brass embossing stencil (of a Christmas tree) and dry embossed on Coredination paper, then sand down to reveal the light core colour. I've add stickles at the tip of branches, but it's not showing much on the photo.  I promise the card looks much better in real life!

Supplies:
Brass embossing stencil (Lasting Impression L9173)
Paper: White card base, Coredination Core Colour (Harborside), pattern paper (source forgotten)
Stamp: StampCraft (440D107)
Inks: Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Soft Pool, Soft Leaf), Stampin'Up (Bermuda Bay), Ranger distress (Broken China)
Others: Hero Arts Clear Gemstone, Scalloped velvet finish ribbon, Stickles (Crystal)
Thanks for looking.

World Card Making Day/Weekend

Happy World Card Making weekend!  It was World Card Making Day yesterday, to celebrate I made this bookmark card.  I was inspired to make the canvas panel by the very talented Kelly Rasmussen, see her video HERE.

And I am enter it to the  Feeling Loopy challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays.  Instead of tying a ribbon thru a punched hole at the top, I used a laced ribbon and loop it across the top.  The two ends of the lace ribbon are covered by a flap on the back side.  Same applies to the bottom portion.
