CAS-ual Friday - Flower or Tree

Hello my crafty friends, how are you?  Did you have a chance to get your fingers inky during the weekend?

I did (yesterday), and I made a card for CAS-ual Fridays challenge 50.  The challenge is to make a clean and simple card with flowers or trees.  I have, in the past, made many cards with flowers, but not trees (at least not as focal point).  So it's fun to do something different.  Here it is:

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts (ST506 I Love Books, CL290 Printed Flowers); Bonnidee (CL0111 French Greetings #3)
Papers: white card stock, Bazzill Orange Peel card stock (Green Tea)
Ink: Ranger Distress (Peeled Paint, Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo)
Others: ribbon, twine

Enjoy your week.  Come back soon.

Red Flower

Happy Friday!

A second post today yay!   If you are looking for the Playing in Paradise post, click here.

Now onto today's card, made it for April's Virginia's View Challenge over at Lily Pad Cards.  I love the orange/red colour of the poppies.

It inspires me to make this card:

My flower is quite brightly coloured, but my camera is not capturing it very well!! :(  Anyhow, I hope it brings you a smile.

Supplies:
Stamp: Magenta (C43020-K)
Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black)
Paper: card stock in white, cream, red, green
Other: colouring pencils

Have a great day!

Card with a View

Hi,

A quick share of a card made for Challenge #2 Cards with a View over at A Blog Name Hero.

My card:

The stamp I used reminds me of a window screen, so I stamped a floral scene first on water colour paper, then I stamp three times the stamp side by side on top to make a three panes window with screens!  Note that the panes are connected with a black strip of card stock acting as hinges. Then I cut out the scrallop shape so it opens up to reveal a message.  I hope you like it!  Yes I am submitting last minute again!!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Hero Arts (AC009 Journal De Voyage, CL477 Delicate Leaf Clusters, CL282 Feather Grass); Bonnidee (CL0111 French Greetings #3)
Paper: water colour paper, Mustard Yellow card base, black card stock
Ink: Rangre Distress(Peeled Paint, Bundled Sage, Wild Honey, Broken China); Memento (Tuxedo Black)
Others: Ranger Perfect Pearl

Be sure to come back Friday.  I've got a little special news to share.  See you then.

PPC#62

Welcome back,  today I've got a card I am entering to the Playing in Paradise Challenge.  This week it is a sketch challenge, and I thought I'd play along using a Hero Arts stamp set I've got since last year but have not use much.  Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts (CL146 Travel Journal)
Paper: white card stock, pattern paper from Country Lanes Paper Collage Kit by Sarah Lugg
Ink: Ranger Distress (Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint)

Note: the dots stamp (top and bottom of the "Enjoy.." panel) is not part of the Hero Arts set, I've misplaced the original package forgotten the supplier.  ;)

Typing lesson

Hi everyone!

Have you ever taken a typing lesson before?  The stamp I used to make my card reminds me of typing classes in high-school.  All those drills that really hurts the pinky finger!!!  Yup that was the time before electric type-writters were use in the school.  OMG now you know how 'young' I am!  LOL

Anyway I had lot of fun making this card, and I want to share it before making more (yes I intend to make multiple in different colours).

I used the (I call it) the 'pre-digit-kit' method: stamp on paper, scan image, enlarge, and print, and then colour.  I printed the enlarge image on a cream cardstock, and use colouring pencils to fill in some details/shading.  Adorned it with a few art flowers and brads, stamped the greetings and voila!  Hope it brings you a smile.

Althought it doesn't appear in the photo, the back piece is shaped the same way.  I am entering this card to Hero Arts' April challenge (shaped cards).
