Last Spring when I participated a card exchange with Hero Arts Flickr group, my exchange partner Linda van Vliet sent me some beautiful masks, as seen here.  Thanks Linda.

I wanted to play with them, but one thing leads to another, and before I realise it's been a whole year since.  OMG!!  Where did the time go?  Anyhooo.. took them out for a spin today and made this card.

Do you see the white silhouete behind the ferm?  I think it provides a nice midground without too many layers of stamping.  What do you think?

I am linking this card up to the CASE Study Challenge #134.

Happy Good-Friday, and have a great Easter weekend!

Magenta Challenge - March 2013 (Sketch)

Hello crafty friends, are you enjoying your week so far?

For a long time, I have been holding onto a piece of very beautiful paper from Magenta, the Pleasures Collection name Delicate Stripes; I want to use it for a layout to showcase a special photo.  And finally I used it for the March Challenge over at the Magenta Blog.  It's a sketch, like this:

And here's my layout:

I really treasure the photo (of my two sisters and myself) very much and I want to pair it up with the pretty paper I've kept for so long;  I try not to cover the paper too much.  I was inspired by Magenta's DT member Ellie Knol's layout to keep the elements as transparent/monochronmatic as possible.

Papers: Scrapbook paper: Magenta (Delicate Stripes Memor-194); Card Stock (Bazzill), vullumn
Stamp: Hero Arts (Playfull Lowercase LL764)
Others: sticker (Kelly Panacci), ribbons, white gel pen (Gelly Roll), butterfly punch (Martha Stewart), Tiny Tabs and Tags die (Tim Holtz)

Thanks for stopping.

RIC#32 and CASology (week 36: Song) and CFC 95

A quick share of a card made for three challenges:

Runway Inspiration Challenge #32,
CASology week 36: Song and
CASual Fridays Challenge 95 - No Stamp.

The background is dry embossed using embossing folder Sheet Music by Darice and then I rubbed the raised texture with ColorBox Frost White ink.  The music sign is fuzzy cut, the paper is glittery and silver (although it's not show well in the photo).   I must admit this is the first card I've ever made with out stamping!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!

Green birds

Hi, I've got a quick card to share today.  For Playing in Paradise Challenge #107 and the Die Cut Diva's March challenge.

I bought a Sheet Music embossing folder and I thought it makes a good background for my green birdies.  Here's my card:

I hope there's sunshine and birds singing wherever you are!

Two inspirations, one card

Hello crafty friends.  It's a grey, rainy day here, so I am feeling a little depressed.  But I saw some very pretty inspiration photos in blogland, and they really cheered me up.  Here are the photos:

Card by CASE Study's March Muse, Julie Ebersole
Inspiration photo for a challenge hosted by Barb and Marcy .

 And here's my card:

I am entering it to the CASE Study Challenge #131 and this fun challenge.

Stamps used are all from Hero Arts (CG211, CL282, CL449).

Bye for now.

CAS attempt

Happy Sunday everyone!

It's the end of Spring break here in Quebec, Canada; so to finish off the week long holiday, we skipped cooking supper at home and ate out.  Yay.. more time to play with my stamps!  And I am glad to finally break open my RAD stamp set which I've won in the January Sneak Peek Week comment to win contest at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

This is the card:

And I am entering it to the current CAS-ual Friday Challenge (CFC93) - Color Blocks, and CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #18.

I don't think I need to give any details about the card; it's really selfexplanatory.  Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend, or have a great week ahead depending from which part of the world you're visiting!  Bye.
