Birthday Wish

Happy New Year everyone!!  And welcome back!

I've made myself a New Year Crafty Resolution - to stamp on pattern paper as much as possible.  Do you have a crafty resolution too?  If yes do you care to share?

Anyway I made my first card of the year.

And I will enter it to two challenges: Constellations: Trendy Star Power Challenge and Playing in Paradise #8.

Supplies:
Technique Tuesday (Awesome)
Stampin' Up (So Many Scallops)
BasicGrey (Picadilly 6x6 paper pad)
Dear Lizzy+American Crafts Chipboard
TopBoss Clear embossing ink
White embossing powder
Diamond Stickles
Twine
Star button

Thanks for stopping by.

Great idea, Cindy, to use up some of that patterned paper! I love the texture of that background print. The stars are super-cool! My crafting resolution is to not get caught up in all the trends, but to stick to basics and use what I have (which is too much). Sometimes what we see is all about buying new stuff, rather than crafting....all the "new releases", etc. Thanks for sharing.

This is gorgeous CIndy!

I unfortunately have so many crafty resolutions:
No. 1 was to not buy any crafty items this year - oops - broke that resolution already. But on a more serious note, I would like to:
- use up a considerable amount of my patterned papers
- at least stamp every stamp once
- perhaps try to catalogue my stamps, especially those sentiments that are part of a bigger set, so that I can find them quickly
- use more of those techniques I have learned over the years
- donate all the crafty items I never use, like all those flowers, I much prefer to die cut my own or stamp and cut out my own
- do a general purge and be really critical and give the stuff away
- organise myself better in terms of when I want to post on my blog, you know, perhaps a certain day for a certain challenge, one day for a Zentangle post, one day for a new technique etc....
TFS

Not sure how many I am going to manage

This is a really sweet card! I love the way you interpreted the sketch with embossing. My crafty resolutions are to get my craft room organized and to stop procrastinating! Thanks so much for joining in our challenge. I hope you will play along in our current frosty challenge too.
